WD-F102FF Roots Flowmeter
WD-F102FF type vertical double-rotor roots (waist wheel) flowmeter is a positive displacement flowmeter with high accuracy, developed and manufactured on the basis of a proprietary technology introduced by our factory from Japan Tokyo Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. (TOKICO). It is provided with advantages such as high metering accuracy, high flowrate, smooth running, no pulsation, low noise, good reliability, long life time, easy installation and use, and features strong capability to prevent blockage of medium containing sand. It is widely used for accurate metering of petroleum and petroleum products as well as chemical solutions etc. in such industries as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, power industry, traffic, commerce and trade etc., and is particularly applicable to accurate metering of fluids with large flowrate and high viscosity.
n Operating Principle
The metering principle of double-rotor roots flowmeter is completely the same as the single rotor roots flowmeter. When the liquid measured flows through the metering chamber, a pressure difference is formed between the inlet and the outlet of flowmeter, and two pairs of waist wheels will rotate driven by the pressure difference (see figure a, b, c and d). Meanwhile, a pair of driving gears fixed on the waist wheel will keep two pairs of waist wheels to continuously rotate. The volume of metering chamber is composed of two “crescent” cavities on the upper part and two “crescent” cavities on the lower part. Liquid of the volume of eight “crescent” cavities (i.e. fixed capacity) will be sent out at every revolution of waist wheels, therefore the revolution of waist wheels is proportional to the flowrate of liquid measured, and the retarding mechanism will drive the counter and the pointer turning to display the volume flowrate of liquid flowed through the flowmeter.
